Site VIsit: BS II - IITM, Pune designed by Ar. Madhav Joshi - 22/12/2010

The IInd yr B. Arch students were taken to IITM, Pune designed by Ar. Madhav Joshi. The students were accompanied by i Ar. Madhav Joshhimself, which benefitted the students to understand the design better. The visit was arranged for Building Services, with emphasis on the study of natural and artificial lighting.






Jury on Thesis Studio : by Ar. Narendra Dengle and Prof. Pattabi Raman, Pune - 17/12/2010

The Wake Up and Speed Up Thesis Studio culminated in presentation by the students, the jurors being  Prof Pattabi Raman and Ar Narendra Dengle. The students were benefitted from the valuable inputs by the jury which gave them a proper direction for  their  thesis project.






Guest Visit & Interaction : Ar. Gurjit Singh Matharoo, Ahmedabad - 16/12/2010

Ar. Gurjit Singh Matharoo from Ahmedabad visited the college and had a dialogue with the Ist yr B.Arch students. During his interaction he emphasised on the importance of sketching. He also talked about how quality and quantity of work produced  affect design and creativity.







Thesis Studio : Speed Up & Wake Up Thesis Studio by Prof. Pattabi Raman, University of Free State, South Africa - 13/12/2010 to 17/12/2010

Wake up and Speed Up Thesis Studio by Prof Pattabi Raman was a 5 day intense workshop conducted for the Thesis Students of Final year to gear them up for their Thesis project. A few students from different Architectural colleges in Pune also participated in the workshop.









Relative Study Programme - IIIrd B.Arch - Tamil Nadu, 19/11/2010

IIIrd yr B. Arch students went to Pondicherry, for the Relative Study Programme. They studied the Tamil town and the French town typology with respect to its planning in detail. They also visited Auroville where they got an opportunity to see different low cost and sustainable construction techniques and meet many influential architects working in this direction.






Relative Study Programme - IInd B.Arch - Himachal Pradesh, 9/11/2010

IInd yr B. Arch went for a Relative Study Programme to Himachal Pradesh. They got to see the temple architecture, local and contemporary architecture. It helped them develop an understanding of the architecture of that region with reference to its context, which further helped them to increase their understanding of architectural projects.
