Ar. Hema Sankaliya, Pune, visited the college Exhibition and was introduced to the various works done by the students. She had a short interactive session with the faculty on various issues regarding academic institutions, their vision and architectural education in the country. This was followed by an interaction with the IIIrd yr students regarding their architectural design project of the multi level office building.
A guest lecture was organised for the IIIrd yr B.Arch students by eminent structural engineer Er. Ajay Tamhankar, Pune. He talked about the structural system and stability for a multi - storied office building. He discussed each and every students’ design in detail, which benefitted everyone in the design process.
As part of the Basic Design I exercise, which dealt with the building appraisal, a visit to the University of Pune was organised for the Ist year B. Arch students. The students visited the main building of the campus and IUCAA designed by veteran architect Ar. Charles Correa. It helped the students study and understand a building colonial architecture as well as contemporary architecture.
Students of first Year B,Arch visited College of Military Engineering (CME),F-Civil Dept to observe and study the departments experimental buildings and the of building technology and construction materials. The students were guided by Ar. Sakhalkar , the HOD of the dept, who explained the history and gave relevant information regarding the campus.
Ar. Ashish Ganju, New Delhi, visited the college Exhibition and was introduced to the various works done by the students. He had a short interactive session with the faculty on various issues regarding academic institutions, their vision and architectural education in the country.
